Terms And Conditions
1) This Competition is run by THQ (UK) Limited of Duke's Court, Duke Street, Woking Surrey, GU21 5BH, England (“THQ”).
2) Employees and their families of THQ, and anyone professionally associated with THQ are not eligible to enter this Competition.
3) The Competition will close at 24:00 GMT on Monday 13th July 2009. No entries submitted after this date will be accepted.
4) The prize is a replica Sledgehammer modelled on the hammer seen in the THQ game, Red faction: Guerrilla.
5) This Competition is free to enter and no purchase is necessary.
6) To enter, you must hold a personal Twitter account at Twitter.com and also be a Follower of the THQInsider Twitter page, at twitter.com/THQInsider. Then, simply write a short poem about the Red Faction and post as a single Tweet including the tag ‘@THQInsider’ – your poem and the tag must all fit within Twitter’s 140 character limit! You can enter multiple poems without penalty.
7) The Competition winner will be chosen on 16th July 2009 by a panel of THQ staff. The poem judged to be the ‘most entertaining’ by the panel in terms of composition, content and artistic merit will be declared the winner. The panel’s decision in judging this matter shall be final.
8) The winner will be notified of his or her success via Twitter’s direct messaging application no later than the 25th July 2009. This decision is final and no other correspondence will be entered into regarding this competition.
9) The Competition winner will need to claim their prize by 30th July 2009. Instructions on how to claim will be sent with the notification of winning.
10) The prize will be dispatched to the Competition winner within 28 days of the winner claiming their prize. THQ accepts no liability if a prize is damaged, lost or remains undelivered.
11) If the Competition winner is under 16 years of age he or she will need to obtain a parent or guardian's permission in order to claim the prize.
12) If the Competition winner fails to claim their prize by 30th July 2009, THQ reserves the right to offer the prize to the first runner-up as judged by the panel.
13) The prize is a promotional mechanic is provided as described and has no commercial value. There will be no cash alternative offered instead of the prize. If the prize becomes unavailable for any reason, THQ reserves the right to offer a replacement prize. Each prize is subject to the terms and conditions of the relevant manufacturer or supplier and all product warranties, guarantees or other representations in relation to a prize are as provided by the manufacturer or supplier of that prize. THQ accepts no liability for any non-compatibility of a prize with any other product or service.
14) Entering this Competition constitutes acceptance in full of these terms and conditions. THQ reserves the right to check the validity of any entry.
15) The Competition winner agrees that THQ may publicise his or her Twitter ID on the THQInsider Twitter page, and other THQ-maintained web pages to announce their success. The Competition winner may also be requested to take part in additional publicity resulting from or relating to this Competition.
